Connecting our patients to the right level of care is our priority, including transfers into our health service via our emergency department, the helipad, or by direct admission and out through our transit lounge service to either home, Hospital in the Home or community based support.

The role:

  • In accordance with established policies, guidelines, systems and processes, the Administrative Officer - Transit Lounge will:

    • Provide high level administrative and clerical support to staff in the Transit Lounge and the Integrated Operations Centre (IOC).
    • Provide a high standard of customer focused reception duties as well as clerical functions in support of patient care relating to clinical, financial and administrative tasks for patients in the Transit Lounge.
    • Provide high level administrative and receptionist support within the Transit Lounge, undertaking administrative tasks in support of staff and patients in the IOC and the core function of the Unit.
    • Provide frontline clerical support for effective and efficient administration of the Transit Lounge including assisting the general public, patients and clinical staff by managing and directing all incoming calls to the unit, dealing with patient and public enquiries and directing those enquiries, as required, to the relevant personnel.
    • Participate in the collection and recording of statistics and preparation of reports as required.

Details of Appointment

Fixed Term part time, shift-worker position working 36 hours per fortnight, commencing from 30 April 2023 until 26 April 2025.

  • Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time and part time vacancies.

Salary: $69,574 to $75,199 pro-rata per annum + 10.5% superannuation

  • Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022
